Study on clutter suppression performance of distributed aperture radar using orthogonal waveforms

Abstract:

To exploit and compare the clutter suppression performance of the distributed aperture radar operating in orthogonal mode and phased array mode,the signal model of transmitting orthogonal waveforms is established.The clutter suppression performances for code diversity,frequency diversity and phased array transmitter are investigated,and the performance limit is given.It is demonstrated that the frequency diversity could increase the system degree of freedom and eliminate the sparse sampling effectively.Therefore,its performance is much superior to its code diverse and phased array counterpart.The simulations verify the conclusions.
