Abstract:

In order to study the operational effectiveness and support effectiveness of a new selfpropelled howitzer and a type of inservice self-propelled cannonhowitzer, a combat simulation system based on high level architecture (HLA) is constructed according to the self-spelled guns’ operational characteristics and their mission profile, and the model requirement of similar simulation systems is discussed. The modeling and simulating of information acquaintance and transmission, firedamage, failures and maintenance is also researched. Finally, the feasibility and creditability of this simulation system is validated by an example. A general framework is constructed to develop similar combat simulation systems, and a new method is presented to research the cooperation and co-support between new and old equipment.
