Abstract:

A high precise time synchronization measurement method by using femtosecond pulses as the time signal carrier is proposed. Based on optical frequency doubling material and second harmonic effect, the femtosecond correlation mechanism for time synchronization measurement is analyzed. Furthermore, the timesynchronization measurement system is constructed. The calibration curve measurement and time delay measurements are completed by adopting the scanning optical delay line. The experimental results show that the resolution of timesynchronization measurement is 10 fs. This work is promising to be applied in the designing and operating of highprecision facilities and future communication networks.
